Real Madrid are reported to be lining up a double swoop on Tottenham, with boss Andre Villas-Boas and Gareth Bale the targets.
Real are on the look out for a new manager as Jose Mourinho appears to be heading for the exit door at the Bernabeu and Villas-Boas has emerged as a strong candidate for the position. The Portuguese has rebuilt his reputation at White Hart Lane following a brief unsuccessful spell at Chelsea, and Real have put him on their shortlist along with the likes of Chelsea interim boss Rafael Benitez. Bale has been heavily linked with a move to Real for some time now and the Spanish giants hope that a total package of £50million could land the duo. This would mean £40million being paid out for wing wizard Bale, with a further £10million heading to White Hart Lane in way of compensation for Villas-Boas. It is all speculation at the moment but Spurs could be facing another summer of fighting to keep hold of their biggest assets after Luka Modric headed to Real last year.
