Eredivisie wrap: Leaders Ajax just take five-point lead - Soccerway

14 April 2013 19:19 Defending champions Ajax moved five things clear towards the top of the Eredivisie table after defeating title opponents PSV 3-2 on Sunday. Kolbeinn Sigthorsson put Ajax ahead on 33 minutes but Jeremain Lens levelled cases two minutes prior to the half-time interval. Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen, who has been seriously related to Premier League outfit Liverpool in recent days, restored the visitors lead seven minutes in to the second-half. PSV refused to quit and eventually got themselves right back on level terms thanks to Lens, who netted his second goal of the overall game with 20 minutes left to perform. Ajax, however, were not to be denied maximum details as Boerrigter found the rear of the net, 13 minutes from time. Elsewhere on Sunday, Feyenoord's title hopes were given a major strike when they drew 1-1 at RKC Waalwijk. In as strugglers AZ Alkmaar thrashed sixth-placed Utrecht 6-0, while Heerenveen secured a 3-2 win over Willem II other benefits on Sunday, American striker Jozy Altidore bagged a hat-trick.
