Cautious ahead of what could happen in Tel Aviv, where a team that wants to come back from two loses in the Palacio de los Deportes awaits the Whites. Pablo Laso, Real Madrid coach, separates himself from the euphoria in the locker room. He doesn't want an excess of relaxation to hurt the headway the team has already made. "We're so close but so far away; we're where we want to be but I think there's still work to be done".
The Real coach, who praised his men's patience, knows that he'll find nothing but opposition and resistance in Israel. In fact, he already changed things that negatively affected the team for the second game: "We saw a different Maccabi, with a stronger defense, that tried to break the pace of the game. Thanks to our offense we managed to withstand the ups and downs on attack. We looked for options for our shooters…We're where we want to be, but there's still a long ways to go. I think that it's a team that makes things difficult. It was a well-fought game, I'm happy but there's still work to do".
To conclude Laso said that he knows what he's up against this coming Tuesday: "The team already knows what it's like in Tel Aviv; we've already played there. We're ready. We know that it'll be tough and not just because of the crowd but because of the team. They want to come back and the worst thing we can do is be too confident and think that we have it in the bag".
