The Ivorian midfielder recently signed a deal that'll keep him at City until 2017, and Barry was delighted to see the 28-year-old prolong his stay at the club. "When a player like a new deal is got by him, it is a raise for everyone," Barry told reporters. "You don't want to see people that way leaving. You need others like him to arrive. "When you can hold players like him for another four years, I'm sure there will be others coming in, of exactly the same degree, to participate him." Roberto Mancini's men happen to be Wembley on Sunday due to their FA Cup semifinal against Chelsea, and Barry is persuaded that whoever triumphs in that game will go on to carry the trophy against both Wigan or Millwall. "It seems a lot more like a final," Barry said. "This may be the larger game of the two and if we will get through it this may be another FA Cup for people. "I am looking forward to it. You wish to be playing big games at this point of the period, as this is, once they give away the trophies." Area enter the sport on the back of victory over rival Manchester United at Old Trafford, and Barry says while his part was delighted with the win, there have been still some regrets after the match. "To gain at Old Trafford two years in a row sets a great standard for our club," Barry said. "The people were desperate to obtain three points and we'd have been unhappy to get anything else, even a draw. "To gain for a second year running is really a fantastic feeling, but there is some disappointment that we've not played like that more frequently. "Even prior to the game started off, our players were convinced that we expected there was a bit more at risk and the difference was a little bit closer." Follow GOAL.COM on Facebook
