Bayern Munich on form ahead of Borussia Dortmund clash - GiveMeFootball.com

Bayern Munich are in top form ahead of their DFB Pokal quarter-final clash with Borussia Dortmund tonight, in a repeat of last season's final.

After dispatching Arsenal last week with a thumping 3-1 win, after goals by Toni Kroos, Thomas Mullerr and Mario Mandzukic, Bayern put six past Werder Bremen this past Saturday in a comfortable 6-1 victory.

Munich are enjoying a supreme run of form of late thanks to their attacking flair with the likes of Mandzukic and Gomez.

Although fans were originally concerned about impressive centre back Holger Badstuber's torn knee ligament impeding their stonewall defence, the club has continued its superb defensive record having only conceded 8 goals in this Bundesliga season so far.

In contrast Dortmund have, for their own standards, been in relatively poor form conceding seven goals in their last four Bundesliga outings, of which one was a 4-1 defeat to Hamburg. However, with young talents Marco Reus and Mario Gotze Dortmund pose a threat for any team.

Munich will be only to aware of this after their 5-2 loss in the final last season and have been unable to beat Dortmund in their last six attempts.
