Dirk Nowitzki is just about to do anything necessary to help his team win, including reducing his salary with the offseason.
According to Bernard MacMahon of ESPN, the force forward is willing to look at a "significant pay cut" with the summer. Nowitzki recently shared with the media:
At this aspect of my career, it's all about competing and winning. It isn't about money. Obviously, Cuban took care of me for any long, long time. I usually tried to pay the dog back by hard using and being here for the franchise, so I don't think we'll fight over money. I want to compete over these last few years. That's going to as the goal.
The intention is for the team to sign some high-priced free agent for example Dwight Howard or Chris Paul, although it remains to remain seen whether there is mutual interest through the superstars.
